About us

Following two successful Art Exhibitions which were organised by W. Bro. Terry Lambert in 2022 and 2023 as part of the English Heritage Open Days at Hoyle Court Masonic Hall it was suggested that this be repeated throughout the Province.

Accordingly, in 2024 a committee was formed consisting of; Chairman W. Bro. Terry lambert, Vice Chairman W. Br. Roger Powell, Secretary/Treasurer W. Bro. Stefan Kowalczyk and Bro Edvard Kiurkchian was appointed the Social Media Manager some months later.

WR Masonic Arts and Crafts was thus established. Being a Province wide group it was necessary to have a focus for our group to coalesce around. This was to be the website where our galleries are displayed and provides a platform for announcing our “news and events”. The galleries also provide a means by which we can facilitate the sale of members’ works.

In our first year we exhibited and raised money for Connaught Court, exhibited in four Masonic Halls, had two Zoom demonstrations and two face to face meetings of the group and a successful Children’s Competition.

Being a Special Interest Group we make efforts to reach out to the public at large and the Children’s Competition was an example of such efforts since it was open to and entered into by both children of Masons and those who had no Masonic connections at all

Currently our membership is open to all Masons and members of their families, we serve not only the Province of Yorkshire West Riding but welcome Masons from any Province. Being established to operate as a virtual group we are not restricted by distance and so can accommodate Masons and their families from anywhere.
